Artist's Comments

This vicious fiend slithers and paws its way across ceramics, working with glaze to erase details. It maintains balance on the edges by use of its long, furry tail, and long ceased to use its legs as its main method of travel, thus causing Nature to turn them more and more disjointed and shriveled with each generation. Eventually it will probably resemble something like a snake.
The shell on the back of the glaze monster contains excess glaze, ensuring detail-reducing disaster with each visit.

Oh gods, you should see the things I've made where the glaze really fucked up!

His fault.

PS You noticed it was shaped after the white glaze on your bowl, right?
:iconlanthir44:
Oh wow, no I didn't! And that's pretty dumb of me given that I was eating out of that bowl while I was commenting, and it's still sitting by my computer. *dies of being blind*

oooh! I just remembered what this reminds me of!

It may have been before your time...(-_-);
but there used to be (don't know f they still make them) a children's magazine called "Highlight(s?)"... Sometimes there would be a segment in it called "creatures that never existed" and kids would draw imaginary monsters and have them displayed in the magazine along with a description of the monster's characteristics. This reminds me of that.

I used to love it when that section was included in the magazine! the monsters were always so interesting.

(^_^)

I remember Highlights!! I don't think I was ever subscribed, but they always had it in doctor's offices and classrooms.
I don't remember that section though, it sounds cool. =)

I drew a maple lion! Also. I was in a weird mood that day. [link]

Yayyyy!!

If I ever run across them...in...some box...somewhere...I'll show the creatures to you...if you're interested........If I remember....haha..
